Conference Overview:

The Every Student, Every Day (ESES) National Conference will support the elimination of chronic absenteeism in the United States by advancing state and local policy to improve cross-sector systems of support for all students who are at risk of becoming chronically absent from school.  The ESED National Conference will also promote equity and help to ensure positive educational and life outcomes for students who are who are chronically absent from school and at risk of falling behind and dropping out.

At the conference, state teams from across the country will learn from each other about best practices for building high-quality and reliable, cross-sector systems of supports to ensure that all families can support their children and youth beginning in preK onwards to succeed in school and graduate from high school with the ability to pursue their post-secondary and career aspirations.

State teams will also participate in the launch of a nationwide, sustainable community of practice that is organized to carry on the work of addressing and eliminating chronic absenteeism during the 2016-2017 school year and beyond.  The ESED National Conference is a major deliverable of the My Brother's Keeper Initiative.
